Permalink problem with a theme

Hi, I downloaded a theme the other day and it’s nice and all, but there’s a problem with the permalinks now.
With this theme, my permalinks look like example- mysite.com/#/blogpost.

My permalink structure is /%postname%/

Any ideas why this # symbol is appearing in the permalink. I haven’t had this issue with other themes. I’ve tried to contact the developer, but have had no luck.

I’ve also tried other permalink structures and they also get the hash sign.
