Permalink not working

  • After changing the permarlink to the post link setting from default, it has been giving me the error message, “Not Found. The requested URL /home/ was not found on this server.” I checked the .htaccess file and it seems like WP can overwrite the content. I am pretty new to WP, can someone please help?

  • Did you tried changing to default themes and then back to your themes ?

    i am also having the same problem. When i change the permalink and remove index.php from permalink it shows me Not Found page.
    How to deal with this. Thanks in advance

    Hai divdeepsingh1,

    Try these steps to solve your problem

    1) Delete your .htaccess file.
    2) Go back to WordPress settings, and select the permalink setting you want.
    3) Be sure to empty your browser cache, and your server cache (if you are using a caching plugin).
