    Hi,
I have created a CPT named AUTO with his taxonomy with hierarchy. I have some issue with the hierarchical permalink: it iterates the name of the parent cathegory every time. For example if an auto has this categorization, “km0 -> diesel -> new”, the permalink will be “auto/km0/diesel-km0-2/new-diesel-km0-2/name-auto

    Do you have any suggestion?
    Thank you!

Are you creating new taxonomy terms each time? or are you re-using existing ones in this case? The only way I can think of to have that incremental number get appended is if a new term each time, but the requested slug end up being the same as an existing one.

Sorry, I don’t understand your question. I’m importing cars with wp-all-import and setting hierarchic taxonomy with the plugin. In the admin page of the single blog post in the taxonomy box I find:
    – km0
    — audi
    — A3 sportback etron
    But permalink results: auto/km0/audi-km0-2/a3-sportback-e-tron-audi-km0-2

How can I verify your question?
    Thank you!

What are you seeing when you visit the page that looks like this https://cloudup.com/cQWC8UPjSro for your taxonomy? Are there a bunch of repeated term names that match, but the slugs on the right hand side “slug”, “slug-1”, “slug-2” etc?

I’m curious if the import process isn’t checking for existing matching terms, and is importing as if a brand new term each time, but because of matching slugs, is having the “-#” suffix added.

You are right the Slug is the problem, the name is right but the slug has this repetition. So the problem is the import process?

If there’s settings to have it check for existing terms before creating a new one, that’d be the first place I start testing with to see if that resolves the issue. Ideally you’re wanting to re-use the existing terms first, and then create new ones if there’s not any in the first place.
