Permalink issue

Hello. I’m having a permalink issue. All of the post/page links are fine…for example https://www.mywebsite.com/about/. However, the category pages remain unchanged and look like this: https://www.mywebsite.com/?cat=18. Can I also change the category URLs as well? Thanks.
