Just a quick one about permalinks…

An example permalink for my site homepage is:
    https://www.domain.co.uk/blog/news/this-is-a-post/

I have a custom permalink structure setup like this:
    /%category%/%postname%/

So my question is where is the /blog part coming from and how do I remove it or change it?

The weird thing is I don’t have a category setup called “blog”…

    Cheers in advance…
    J.

  • Seems like you probably installed WordPress in a directory named “blog” if one were to guess. If that’s not where you want your blog, you could check out

Cheers but WP is installed on the root, not in a sub folder.

So its not in a sub folder, I don’t have a category called “blog” so I’m wondering if its my theme?

Is it possible to define permalinks in the theme files?

Jeeze that was lucky. Its sorted.

In super admin I clicked edit on my primary site then in site options (WPcol_options) section there is a field that also defines permalinks.

/blog was simply deleted from there and its sorted.

Hope that helps someone else out…
