[permalink] including category name for specific posts

  • hello guys, I have searched for hours on this and unfortunately could not find an answer.

    Currently my permalink formats are as follows
    andrewzo.com/post-name

    However, for the “blog” category, I would like to include the category name in the permalink, like this
    andrewzo.com/blog/post-name

    Is it possible to do this? how do i go about doing it?

    How do you currently have things set up on the “Settings–> Reading” page? Are you using a static page as the home page or recent posts?

    I think making a static page named “blog” the posts page (and a different static page as the home page) will fix the problem.

    I have it set to my latest posts.

    what I need for my website is that the front page need to be showing specific categories.
    while the blog category is hidden from the front page.
    At the same time, adding a prefix to the blog category.

    I don’t think the static page would work because it would make my homepage showing only 1 post. : (
