Hi, I’m running WPEMatico and have selected the option to changes the permalinks to the address of the original article. This works as I desire when viewing the posts, but I just added the Twitter link through the Dashboard and when publishing something it doesn’t show the permalink of the original article on Twitter. It shows a link to the article on my blog, which I don’t want.

I would like to post the permalink of the original blog and not the imported article on my blog, but see no setting to change this. I was wondering that this might have to do with the order in which this plugin changes the permalink, which might be after the update to Twitter. How can I get this working?

Hello Nostra, the twitter link is given by the Twitter plugin with the permalink printed in the header of the page metadata.

Perhaps you can edit the twitter plugin to print the metafield added by wpematico rather than the result of get_permalink() function.

You can open a ticket at etruel.com attaching the debug file to allow us to do a more in-depth test.

    regards

I’m not that into coding, so I don’t know how I would need to edit the Twitter plugin that comes standard with WordPress.

How can i generate a debug file?

you can get the debug file in WPeMatico Settings -> Debug File Tab
