    Good day.

I’ve spent hours looking & trying out solutions to change our website’s permalink

I have tried /%postname%/ and yes it worked on some of my pages but I noticed that it uses the first Page Title that I published, instead of the current page title being used.

    sample:
In the ‘Company’ page it should work as https://www.pingconmarketing.com/company/
    but instead it shows…
    https://www.pingconmarketing.com/trial-first-page/
which was the first title that I published for that page.

Moreover, my ‘Products’ page has its own list of products but using the /%postname%/ redirects to my subdomain ‘Shop’ page and i do not know why ??

Please help how to fix this? I am just a beginner. much appreciated.

    Thank you.

*for now i am using the default permalink with page id ??

  • The permalink slug is set the first time you save the page. So if you originally save the page with the title Trial First Page, then “trial-first-page” will be set as the slug to be used in the permalink. Even if you change the page title, this slug will persist.

If you want to change this slug, go to the page editor. The page URL will be displayed under the title. Click on the “Edit” button to the right of it and set the slug to what you want it to be (eg “company”)
