    I’m developing a new site.

I’ve already published several posts using the custom permalink structure:

    /%postname%/

They all work fine except for my most recent one “Whoa. Level 6.”, which leads to a 404 error.

The direct link should be shivanauts.com/inside-level-6

I’ve tried rebuilding permalinks, and that does not cure it. Using default permalinks works fine.

    Help?

It’s a private site, so I’ve created a temp user if anyone would like to peek:

    userid: staff
    password: xq93

Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean.

I’m at dashboard – settings – general, and I don’t see any url’s with trailing slashes.

I replaced my .htaccess file, which cured the problem.

Note – I use Cyberduck as an FTP client, which cannot view invisible files. This fooled me into thinking that there WAS no .htaccess file, and delayed me from checking that as a possible cause.
