Permalink Editing Issue

    Not able to change permalink URL until I manually hit save draft button. Is that a bug or the feature behave like this ?. For my site, I need to change the permalink for each and every post.

    Hi,

    This is actually the same behavior as in the classic editor, there is no permalink to edit until you’ve made an initial save (you could also wait for an auto-save to run).

    In the previous editor, it was enabled when posts auto saved. But even with autosave, it’s not working in Gutenberg.

    Hmmm, that doesn’t sound right at all, would you be able to check if this is still happening with the latest version of Gutenberg (4.4.0 at this time), as it includes some changes to the workflow of permalinks?
