Permalink displays URL twice

Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting. If this works, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.

Thanks esmi. That didn’t work. They are still on the default setting as I never changed it.

I was able to remove the setting on the WP options panel and once I saved it, that fixed it for a while.

I notice now it keeps changing back to the two URL’s on its own after a few posts.

Have you tried:

– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

– switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

In General Settings, is the Site URL entered correctly and not duplicated?

I have deactivated the plugs in. And added them back in one by one. The problem still seems to occur even with no plugins enabled.

I have not tried the Twenty Ten theme. I’m using Genesis and Pixel Happy Child themes.

I will try to reset the plug in folder.

@andy, the url is not correct. It is saving it as http:/Mysite.com with only one back slash. However when I correct and save it goes back to the one backslash. I’m guessing that is part of the problem but no idea how to fix that.
