Permalink Change is Breaking up the A-Z shortcode

  • Hi.When I change the permalink structure of wordpress the links on https://www.patrabharati.com/authors/ break and lead to a 404 error. I changed the ‘Product Tag ‘ base to ‘author’ under Permalink settings because I do not want the phrase ‘product tag’ be visible to the customer when they click on the A-Z list. But that caused the A-Z list to stop functioning and clicking on anything within the list was leading to a 404 page.

    Kindly help on how you could keep the list fully functional and still change the ‘product tag’ base.

    Hi,

    The plugin uses the URL as provided by the WordPress function get_the_permalink() for posts and get_term_link() for terms. These functions should return the correct URL when you update the permalink structure of your site. The listing should therefore show the correct link at the time it is generated. If you have any caching mechanisms on your site then these will need to be cleared for the listing to be updated and show the correct links.
