• Permalinks were working with my hosting on godaddy. Moved over to netnation.ca and I cannot get them to work properly.

The .htaccess file gets written. apache mod_rewrite in on.

    I get a 403 error.

Odd enough the almost pretty permalinks will work.. index.php/%postname%/

i’d rather not have that though.

Been on the phone with tech support but they don’t know WP that well.

Any ideas on what it is? Or can you give me a direction on what to check?

    Thanks!!

  • What was your permalink setting in GoDaddy and what about in netnation (“Options” | “Permalinks”)?

I had it on the second option down.

I transfered it over so the setting stayed the same. And when I am in Manage/Page it shows that the permalink should be …/process (with process being a page)

However, I get a 403 error on it.

Would anything in the php.ini file need to be added?

I am thinking it has to be something I need to do the .htaccess or php.ini file. Something to tell their server to do what I want it to do.

    No idea what though.

I’d give the site url but has an under maintenance page on it and is not accessible to the public.

Hi Mrkingid, I’ve had the same issue with a netnation hosted site. Just wondering if you found a solution? Thanks!
