Hi Artiss – really like your converter!

Is it possible to have period instead of comma when converting?

Example of how it is today: Norwegian kr 39,435 (is 39 thousand 435)

Example of how I would like it to display: Norwegian kr 39.435

In Norway we use period instead of comma to make it easier to read the thousands.

Is there a way to get the period?

    Thanks and best regards,
    Carl / primaitalia.no

    Hi Carl,

From version 1.3 it should cope with this – if you specify a comma in the amount supplied it will add one into the result. Does this not work?

Hi Artiss and thanks for your mail

Yes, if I put a comma, it will show a comma in the result. But I want to use a period instead of a comma to separate the thousands from the hundreds to make it easier to read (at least that is the way we do it in Norway). So instead of 37,135 I would like it to show 37.135 (the number still being thirtyseventhousandonehundredandthirtyfive).

I convert from euro to krone, and if i put a period in the euro number (like 3.900 when it is 3900 euros), it uses 3,9 euros to convert to krones and the amount converted will be wrong. I would like 3900 euro to show like 37.135 not 37,135.

Was this understandable at all? ??

    Best regards,
    Carl

Yes, I know just what you mean Carl. In a nutshell – no, you can’t do it. The current method of adding commas was something I put in as a last minute request whilst I was working on the last update. For the next one I intend to sort it out properly, to do what you’ve requested.

    David.
