    When I run a performance test nothing seems to happen.

    The progress bar reaches 100% and it says:
    “Test complete! Reloading”
    Then the popup disappears and nothing happens.

    No results, just the default Performance Test page with Test My Website button.

    Not sure if related, but when I try to run a Google PageSpeed test I get an error:
    “Lighthouse returned error: NO_FCP. Something went wrong with recording the trace over your page load. Please run Lighthouse again. (NO_FCP) (NO_FCP)”

    Any help would be greatly appreciated as the site is loading painfully slowly at the moment.

    There are some issues accessing your page. Please contact your host with the above errors, they should be able to assist. Maybe you have a security plugin or there’s a firewall rule that is blocking access to your site?

    Hi Anton,

    There shouldn’t be any issue accessing the page. It’s loading fine, just really slowly (10-30seconds), hence why I’m trying to improve performance.

    I’ve contacted my host but they’re no help, and there’s no security plugin or firewall blocking access to the site.

    Can you please take another look?

    This is what is outlined in the Google PageSpeed test manual:

    A 15 second timeout has been introduced when considering the start of the page load. If your page doesn’t paint any content within ~15 seconds, Lighthouse will bail. This will result in the NO_FCP error.

    Until you are able to get your page to load within this timeframe, you won’t be able to do a scan. In most cases, if nothing appears on the page for 15 seconds, that means there is an issue on the server or a firewall is blocking access.
