Performance problem

  • Dear WordPress wizzes.

    I am having some trouble with my Android news related blog, and i really hope that some fine gentleman in here might take the time to explain or help me as to what is wrong.

    My blog runs very uneven. From time to it takes 10-20 seconds to load a page on it, even though it at other times runs very smooth with 4-5 page switches within less than 1 second delay.

    Furthermore it from time to time gives me:

    Error 503 Service Unavailable
    Service Unavailable

    Guru Meditation:
    XID: 1805890472

    Varnish cache server

    It does that, even when a page is loaded and just runs in the background. After a while this error pops up.

    I am using latest version of WordPress with myMag theme and multiple plugins.

    I read these forums learning that the usual way to debug stuff like this, is to turn off all plugins and turn them back on 1 by 1 to see which one slows down the page. Unfortunately i haven’t been able to figure out the problem by doing that.

    Note, that i am very little familiar with PHP and CSS. I did SOME modification to code in theme files (changing date/time format on certain lines and so on) but very little as i know too little to mess with that.

    By the way, i get the same timeouts and heavy lags when i use the “dashbord” pages.

    Is this a problem with my host?

    Yes, the problem with is server response.
    If you use Windows; launch Command prompt and type:

    ping ndroid.dk

    It should show 0% data loss if everything is correct (from server side).

    It might happen due to:

      If you have made up the setup wrongly
      If you have changed cname like stuffs within 72 hours (will take time to get back)
      The server company is performing a scheduled maintenance
      The server is down
      The server company is bad

    seems you need to contact your server company to ask the reason. Wait and check back here for some server guru suggests something.

    Well thank you, actually this kinda eases my mind a bit, since i can keep the page the way it is, and just contact my host.

    There are 7452 domains are hosted in the same server : https://whois.domaintools.com/ndroid.dk

    The huge number might be causing the delay.

    I have just been in contact with webhost support, that told me that they are aware of the problem and are working to fix it.

    Hostchange might be the solution.
