Performance Issues

At the bottom are 4 blocks corresponding to 4 sections each containing a text module and an image carousel. Clicking on a block changes the section from display:none to display:block and loads the carousel. Performance is very slow. I have minification on, using Cloudflare as the CDN and am hosted with WPEngine, with caching on.
Please advise as to how to improve performance.
