• Just after update got the error msg – “Minify Auto encountered an error. The filename length value is most likely too high for your host. It is currently 246. The plugin is trying to solve the issue for you: (solving …)…then minifiy got clear but performance dropped in google page speed more than 10 point.

Instead of one minified css..now i can see 4 minified css….now page loading in 6.2sec which was 0.92sec before..

I simply can not understand what was wrong with the previous method, which was working really great.

  • I’m having exactly the same problem after upgrading to 0.9.2.10 too. I have tried completely removing the plugin and reinstalling but still get the error: “Minify Auto encountered an error. The filename length value is most likely too high for your host. It is currently 150. The plugin is trying to solve the issue for you: (solving …)”. The previous version worked brilliantly but now NOTHING is minified, even if I set it to ‘Manual’ mode and configure the options that way.

I literally have no option but to use another, inferior minify plugin because this just won’t work anymore.

The server is running CentOS and Apache and I have tried both Opcode APC and regular disk caching to no avail.

Hi I am also facing the same issue
    I am on windows hosting.

You can revert to the prior version 0.9.2.9 to restore functionality until the developer has had some time to correct the issues:

    Scroll to Other Versions.

You can also just use this URL to import directly from the dashboard:

I just disabled CSS and JS minification for now. I was having the same problem and all JS and CSS wasnt working properly.

Upgraded to 0.9.2.11 and JS is still broken when turning on minify of JS. The CSS issue seems to be fixed.
