    Hello,

first of all I want to thank you for the great plugIn! Concerning the performance of jitsi meetings I have a technical question. For my understanding your plugin generates an iframe so that my wordpress site does not need a high performance server, right?

The last time I used your plugIn the video quality of the jitsi meeting was bad. There were about 25 meeting participants. Do you think the bad performance may be caused because of our insufficient server performance or has this been caused by the insufficient upload performance of the meeting host?

I use the shortcodes on a standard wordpress page, e.g.:
    [buddymeet room=myroomtitle password=myroompassword]

Do you have any tipps do bost performance in this case?
Thanks in advance for your feedback!

  • Hi,

you are correct regarding the first part. Your wordpress server does not need to have super capabilities since the jitsi meet client runs on the browser of each individual participant.

Regarding the bad quality, I suppose it is because you used the default jitsi meet server (which is a public server installation) that i have configured by default to the plugin. Moreover, a 25 participants meeting is a quite big number so I suggest that you ask jitsi meet team about that.

    Thanks,
    Themis

    Hi Themis,

thanks for your feedback – so in this case we may had bad public server performance.

    Thanks for your support!
