• Worked like a charm straight out of the box.

Wanted an adsense 728×90 in a certain spot on a page, added the script to text editor and the ad never shows. So I installed Shortcoder, created shortcode, added custom shortcode to text editor on that page and voila! the adsense is appearing as expected.

This plugin is going to work great to create ad shortcodes for authors to place on the bottom of their own posts.

FYI: Using Divi by Elegant Themes (Page builder/modules)

  • Correen,
Hey – I saw your review of Shortcoder.
Were you able to get it to work with Google Adsense code that contains Javascript?
I tried it and it isn’t working.
Anything special you had to do?
I posted a question in the “support” section of this forum, but no one has responded yet (probably another plugin that is no longer supported by the original author).
Too bad, because I use it for other things and it works great.
Just want to be able to use for my Adsense ads and I would be set.

    Thanks.

einstem, yes the plugin has been working for Adsense. I have used it throughout my site successfully. A couple things to check when you are adding code in the shortcoder…
    1) make sure you are in Text vs Visual editor before pasting
    2) title the shortcode before saving
Hope this helps…bummer you did not hear back from the author when you posted a question. That always makes me worry about continuing to use a plugin.

PS It takes 10- 20 minutes for Adsense to show if you created a new ad…just in case you did not know this.

still no luck with the Adsense code..

I definitely used the “text” editor and pasted it all in from the code created by Google Adsense…

What is strange is if I just embed that code in the “text” editor of my post, it does show up.. just not when I put it into shorcoder…

    Grrr…

    Michael
