    I’m new to WordPress and wanted a Pinboard style theme with a Fixed front page. I tried adding boxes, but they don’t appear. I went looking for the support documents for this theme to find out how to use the styling options, the “threecol” options, etc. and found nothing useful,anywhere.

    There should be a link to a “manual” of this theme instead of a link to a Support Forum. I don’t have bugs to report or usability issues, I just want to read all about how to use this theme from a beginner’s POV.

    Did you ever get the boxes figured out? It’s driving me crazy. I’ve pretty much figured everything else out but boxes. The manuals for novice users suck (nothing personal developer).

    I guess only “experts” should be using this.

    I used a plug-in called WooSidebars to create and place my own Widget areas to replace others on certain pages. I told it to create a box called “Homepage Teasers” to replace “Boxes” and to only appear on the front page.

    Through “Appearance->Widgets” I added good looking Text boxes into it using Black Studio TinyMCE Widget and Advanced Recent Posts Widget et voilà! It’s happy now on https://www.vellafrontera.com

    @fairchic, thank you for sharing.
