Perfect Plugin for a complex issue perfectly resolved

Very slick implementation of a plugin. I say slick in the best sense: there is no bloat, no wading through ads, a very simple sign-up procedure (which you need to implement the BEST part of the service), and a nice clear UI. In short, you are up in minutes and it does what it says on the tin (a popular expression among reviewers, but it sure as hell applies here).
I was stumped a few weeks ago as to how I might be able to add a second (or more) language to my website. I was going to simply add pages with the target language content on additional pages of my site and add button links, but the top menu would of course remain in the original language (in my case, English), which would be a half-measure solution, and would look amateurish. I looked into sub-domains, but wasn’t sure that was even a technically viable solution.
Enter Weglot: Amazing. Easy set up, nice simple options to get you up and running with additional language buttons (which you can choose to place anywhere – I went with the top menu, and the buttons integrated perfectly, looking like part of the original site’s coding – very slick).
The BEST part is to come: sure, machine translation gets you halfway there, and it gives you an idea of how your site’s pages and menus will look in any language you care to add. The BEST part is that the Weglot site registration entitles you to your own account dashboard from which you can open up your site pages in a visual editor that displays your website pages as they do normally, and you can click on any content and tweak the translations (something you will need to do, but Weglot makes no bones about this). I have played around with the visual editor, and, again, it has been implemented extremely well by people that are not only technically savvy, but also aware of what makes something easy to use. The visual editor couldn’t be easier, and you can easily have a translator go in and do the rework, do it yourself, of use one of Weglot’s translators to do the job; the choice is yours.
Weglot’s support has been top-notch, and I’ve also noticed they’ve helped a few others with additional coding (something they did for me, too – thanks, Christophe!).
You really can’t fault a team/service like this. They have taken a problem, solved it, and made it accessible, easy to use, and flexible for the masses. If you need multilinguality on your website (and who doesn’t?), Weglot is a superb solution.
5 stars for service and plugin implementation. No brainer. Great people.
