Perfect Permalink Possible?

  • Ive tried many plugins etc and yet i still can not get wordpress to display legitimate seo urls!

    I want category urls to display purely the current cat url no matter if its a child or parent category such as domainname.com/test

    at the same time i want all posts to display just the post url too without category before the post url!

    I just can not get this to work no matter what i try?

    Any suggestions?

    its the way i work, as in short urls! opposed to bloated beefy long urls!

    hi guys.

    i found the answer as i was really struggling for over 2 hours or so with this.

    This worked for me giving my perfect urls for posts and categories!

    Place this code in your themes functions.php file!

    for some reason it’s not working for me . after i add it in functions.php it give me error .

    is there any specific place where i should add the code,or adding it at the end will be fine ?

    Hi vyperlook.

    Make sure you add it in the themes functions.php and not wp-includes/functions.php

    Im also runnning the latest version of wordpress!
