Perfect Installation, However

  • Hello,

    I uploaded a WordPress theme to my host server and used the quick install feature to install. It all went well then it directed me to a log in page. I was under the assumption that this was an independant theme.
    Do I need to go ahead and create a WordPress Blog and then use that login information. As you can see, I am quite new at this..

  • I’m kind of confused by your post,I’m not quite sure what you are doing… maybe you could explain it differently?

    1. You installed WordPress on your host
    2. You installed a theme you downloaded
    3. gets confusing…

    You can’t use a WordPress theme without WordPress, if that’s what you mean. So you’d have to install WordPress (“WordPress Core”) first and then you can install the theme within your WordPress site.
