Perfect install, but get error 403 when accessing site

Check permissions (403 errors are a good clue that this might be the case) on your WordPress files/folders.

I had already tried this, I’ve put everything on 777 just to check if that was the problem, put nope. Doesn’t work.

Would you have other suggestions?

It looks like the index.php file is missing from the root of your site: https://www.beau-monde.be/index.php gives a File not found error.

Same for other files that should be in the root, like https://www.beau-monde.be/license.txt or https://www.beau-monde.be/readme.html

Are those files actually there with 777? Maybe you set 777 on the subdirectories but not the files in the root?

Asking because I don’t have a problem accessing files in subdirectories, for example https://www.beau-monde.be/wp-content/themes/twentythirteen/images/search-icon.png

Senff you were totaly right. Allthough I uploaded the files different times, the index was not copied several times. Strange. I uploaded it now and it works fine. Thanks for your time in looking for a solution. Sorry for my mistake !
