Perennial wp_comments overhead

  • My blog suffers from perennial wp_comments overhead. I have to optimize database constantly.

    I thought it was due to my old version WP 1.5.1.2 but I have upgraded to WP 2.0.4 and I still have overhead.

    Any solution? any clue?

  • Does this cause some problem for you? Mine always run overhead on various tables. I only bother to optimize/repair when I’m there for some other reason anyway. I’ve let some of mine go for a few months to a year plus – doesn’t seem to cause heartburn.
