Percent symbols (%) in image URL

Great plugin!

I have a small issue: it seems that images the percent symbol “%” do not seem to import correctly (URLs that have url encoded symbols of the “%” sign). A image entry shows in the media library, but when I click on it, no image shows.

For example: images that have “%25” don’t seem to import.

Images that only have “%2B” seem to import. For example: “IMG_3854%2B2.JPG”

I believe that “%25” is the “%” symbol and that “%2B” is the “+” symbol, correct?

Normally I would change the external image name first before running the plugin, but in this case I’m not able to do so.

I was wondering if the plugin could be updated or modified in order to allow images with the “%” symbol, or “%25”, in the URL to import?
