People out of state is getting charged tax

Hi @calvincanisa!

If you are setting taxes from the WooCommerce settings, have you checked this documentation about how to set taxes in your store?

Kindly take a look: https://woocommerce.com/document/setting-up-taxes-in-woocommerce/#setting-up-tax-rates.

But if you are using a plugin to achieve that, please notice that this issue could be a conflict between WooCommerce and that plugin.

To determine what could be causing the issue, please temporarily switch your theme back to Storefront, disable all plugins except WooCommerce and repeat the action that is causing the problem. If that solves it, then re-enable all plugins one-by-one, until you find the one creating the conflict.

Thanks for responding. The taxes are set up exactly as they specify in the link you sent me. We are not using any plugins that has anything to do with the taxes. We only use woocommerce and then the authorize.net plugin for the payment gateway. If I could send you a screenshot i would have then you can see.

It looks like your store is currently set to calculate tax based on the shop base address. To change it to customers billing or shipping address, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Tax Options, and update “Calculate tax based on”
