People lists – user not showing correctly

  • I’ve been asked to look into an issue with a web site where the original webmaster has died. So, I don’t have her to go ask questions of. I’ve searched and tried every possible combination of changes that I can think of and still the problem persists, so any help at all would be most appreciated.

    The web page that I’m looking at is: https://www.heartsspeak.org/artist_directory/

    If you scroll down to Lithuania, you’ll see that the member listed there does not show up the same as the others on the page. For some reason, whatever user I put on the Lith. list doesn’t show up correctly. The formatting is broken for that country and for any other country that I add.

    I can put other users in Lith. and they break but return to normal when put back into their correct country/state.
    I can put the user that belongs in Lith. into another country and they work fine.

    WP is on version 3.5.1 and the People Lists plug-in is up to date. I’ve tried going to the web site for the plug-in but that just goes to the home page for a department of a university and there is no mention of the authors.

    Can anyone tell me what might be going on here?

  • Why are you using an old copy of WordPress? Were you aware that your site is currently running a very real risk of being hacked? You need to upgrade WordPress asap.

    I’m aware it’s a couple incremental updates behind. Between work and school and just not having time in general to make a backup of the site before performing an update, I hadn’t gotten to that yet. I do have time for these smaller things though. Are you suggesting that updating the WP files will fix my issue?

    I’m suggesting that there is a greater than average chance that your site has now been hacked and that this needs to be rectified asap.
