People can’t log in…….(problem)

Can you log in from your machine with her username and password?

May try resetting her password.

Also wonder if her firewall could be a problem?

I tried to log with my friend’s username and password, and it wont let me log in either. Should I just delete her username, and then she can re-register all over again??? Any fast future help or responses are appreciated! Thanks!!!

another thing: a friend of mine recently signed up (another friend) and she said that wordpress never sent her , her password. What should I do now??? Any help would be appreciated!!

I found when I tried a bogus registration on my site, that I wasn’t getting my WP registation/password email.

Someone kindly advised me to check my outlook/email settings and add the URL (yoursite.com) to SAFE friends.

I then recieved my email registration/password

Hello. Thanks for responding. I’m not sure if i understand what you are saing about adding the URL of my site to the safe friends. Alot of my friends said, they checked they’re spam/junk folder, and they recieved nothing as of yet from wordpress about the password.

I just registered for my site using my yahoo e-mail address, and I haven’t received my password from wordpress either. someone please help me!!

Get your friend ready
Use your ftp client and delete everything inside
wp-content/cache
Tell your friend to login
Tell us what happens.

And the no email thing ?
When you installed WP, did YOU get sent an email with info in ?
If you did, something has broken. That will be your host’s fault.
If you did not, that’s your host’s fault.

I’m also a relative newby to blogging, and I’m having a similar problem in that my blog is set up under a frame address (so my “normal” URL stays in the address bar, not the host address). Unfortunately, unless users open the login in its own window (showing the host address), they can’t sign in. Is there a solution to this w/o losing the correct address in the address bar?
