  • Start by correcting lots of errors. You can check here https://validator.w3.org/.

By getting rid of the errors, we can start finding out where the problem is and get it fixed.

ok so it says i have over 200 errors. do i correct them myself? like do i have to do it manually?

Yes, you do it manually. Errors are cascading so manytime, if you fix 1 serveral others will go away. Also some errors might just be warnings so you don’t have to (although I do) correct them – you could go back later for warnings.

I have put a couple of test comments on the site. You can delete them anytime. To make a comment I clicked in the white bar and a cursor appeared in the body section of the comment. No, it is not the solution but at least we know comments for IE7 work.

The comment problem seems to be in the style sheet. If you load your page without the css, comments work with IE as they should.

The problem may just be with colors. If you open the comments page in FF and go to the error console you will see lots of color errors.

You might want to switch to the default theme and see if comments are ok.

ok im new to the whole “website game” So do I go through my stylesheet and search for the errors? this is going to be really hard. lol

You need to correct all the errors found at https://validator.w3.org/.

You need to look at your style sheet where it references comments. I think I would look at that “transparent” color.

You can also switch to the default theme for a moment to see if the problem goes away. It could just be a bad theme/style sheet.

Ok, i switched to the default and the problem no longer existed. AND THEN I CHANGE TRANSPARENT TO A COLOR AND IT WORRKED!!! YEY!!! THANK YO SOOOOOO MUCH!
