Pending Users Auto Approved? Please Help!

    We’ve noticed that unauthorized pending users are somehow becoming automatically approved. In at least one case, I saw the user changed their password and successfully got in and approved that way. Are they tricking your system? I just had to delete several unauthorized new users. Is there any way this can be fixed? I checked and the plugin is set to “Admin Approval After Registration” in the form settings and general options.

    A few weeks ago, we brought up the possibility of restricting user registrations to a specific domain in their email address. You agreed this would be a great new feature. Is it available yet? If your plugin could automatically approve only the white list and deny all others, that would be an amazing improvement. But in the meantime, how do we solve the problem listed above?

    3/3/20 – Hello again. Just circling back to see if you’ve had a chance to look at this yet. I’m finding that your plugin automatically approves all users who attempt to register now, whether they try to recover a password or not.

    I receive an email that looks like this…

    Hi Admin,
    A new user Jason Clark – [email protected] has successfully registered to your site XXXXX.
    Please review the user role and details at ‘Users’ menu in your WP dashboard.
    Thank You!

    … but when I log in, they are already approved! It used to give me the chance to approve or deny. Have the settings changed? Or your plugin? Please help! Thank you.

    I’ve just had and solved the issue on my own site – if you are experiencing the same issues, this might help.

    On the settings page for [User Registration] [Settings] [General Options], the first option is ‘User login option’ BUT THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU NEED TO FIX.

    On the menu click [User Registration] and you will see a list of the registration forms (…or you’ll see the one form that you’ve set up to use, if you’re like me!).

    Click to [Edit] that form and along the top you’ll see tabs for [Fields] [Field Options] [Form Setting]. Click [Form Setting].

    On the right, you’ll now see ‘User login option’. Adjust as required…

    Thank you M.Neumann. That area of my form shows “Admin Approval after registration,” so in my case it must be something else, but thank you for trying to help me! ??
