Pending status incorrectly set for manually added members

  • Hello, a happy user of the Simple Membership plugin here.
    Not sure if I’m doing anything wrong. All new members who register themselves are added to the database as pending and we approve their membership.
    However; when we add a new member manually (through the Add Member tab) AND select their status as active, they are set as Pending. As this is manual action it should override the setting for self registration.
    Any thoughts?

    Hi, I just finished carrying out a test in my dev site. I was able to manually add a new member and set their status to active. So I suspect there is some setting or perhaps a plugin that is overriding your settings.

    Can you carry out the following troubleshooting steps.

    Hi thank you for looking into this that quickly. I’ll test the feature on a fresh install of WP with only Simple Membership plugin and will let you know.
