For some reason the events are automatically posting and I want them to be pending first. I went under user permissions.

When I post an event I never receive a notification email. I checked my email and I received my test. Easy wp STMP plugin is also installed.

  • Are you adding the event in the front end and what is your user role?
make sure the user role doesn’t have permission to publish the event.
Make sure Events -> Settings -> Emails -> Events submissions emails section is filled out correctly.

I have only the admin set to post on the front end form. I am logged out and even tried from another computer and the event is instantly showing on calendar. I want to review everything first.

I did receive emails but really slow. I might have to contact my host for that. But I have the whole email section set up.

also under user persmissions I unchecked admin to Not be able to post or do recurring posts and I see pending for that event. But of course now I can’t publish it. I am not sure what I have set wrong.

And I am Allowing anonymous event submissions. Is there a way to ensure their posts will be pending?

I think I figured the above out. BUT, how do I modify the form in the location area. For some reason when I deleted region, country, url the form won’t submit now when someone chooses physical location. I edited the location php file.

you can check on the template file at events-manager/templates/forms/event/location.php

    to use templates: https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/using-template-files/

    eg. wp-content/themes/Your Theme/plugins/events-manager/forms/event/location.php
