Penalty for posting on multiple pages?

    Can I post this widget in the footer of my site? Is there any proven data that Google penalizes if its on every page of site? Is it better to only have on a few pages of the website? Thanks for any help, confirmation of best practice.

    Hi Marco,

    Actually, we do not know because Google has a very confusing indexing algorithm and it changes very often.

    As far as we know, the plugin in the footer on each pages theoretically could be counted as duplicate content of Google, but in practice for the history of the plugin (which is about three years), we did not notice such cases.

    Considering the pros and cons, we think that you can place the plugin into the footer on each pages.
