Same, here how do you deal with penalties usually ?
I have a Argentina 1 – Ecuador 1 but penalties Argentina Winners 4-2 penalties

I did 1 – 1 as score But i put the Argentina to the semi-final.

It seems not to have 1-1 ranking effect.

The plugin does not have a separate scoring option for penalty result. So, you basically have 3 options:

1. Use the end result after 90+ minutes
2. Use the end result after extra time (if there is extra time)
3. Use the penalties result

I think most people use option 2.

I’m getting user complaints on this one too. It seems there are other football pool platforms that deal with this by either accounting for penalties separately, or indicating a winner for each match.

We should look into starting a dev effort for the 2026 world cup ??

@antoineh What do you think is the best way to do it? I would love to collaborate because I feel very grateful with everything I got with the free plugin.

I mean if we had to make the adaptation to penalties, would it be an extension of the plugin or inside it?

I never really gave it a thought. But I think creating an extension for it is really hard and also wouldn’t give the best user experience for the admin (because admin screen are not extensible to the same amount as the front-end).
