David – I discovered MLA 2-3 wks ago and love its rich option set. So far am able to pull/get items from Lib with various atts tag/cat.
Have expierimented with combinations of LINk and SIZE but dont seem to be able to get what I think my users want.

I’d like something like Elementor’s “PDFjs viewer.” Its window/view lets me 1) view the doc half/full screen, 2) click icon in that view to print, or 3) click diff icon in that view to download.

Am I missing something in MLA that would give user the three choices after clicking/choosing a document.

Currently I am copyNpasteNedit UR shortcodes into Elementor’s text widgets (plain ole text box to me).

Thanks for your positive feedback and for the question. There is nothing in the core MLA plugin that supports PDF viewing.

I do not have any experience with Elementor’s PDFjs viewer, but here are two earlier topics regarding something similar:

    Secure PDF gallery

how to create a slide show of pdfs

If you’re open to using the PDF Embedder plugin perhaps you can adapt the example in the second topic to your application. I will leave this topic unresolved for now in case you have problems or further questions regarding the material in the earlier topics. Thanks for your interest in MLA.

You wrote “Currently I am copyNpasteNedit UR shortcodes into Elementor’s text widgets (plain ole text box to me).

It occurred to me that another idea you can explore is to use MLA’s custom Markup and Style templates. You can put the [mla_gallery] shortcode in the text widget and use a custom template to generate any HTML output you like.

If you need more specific help, post an example of the widget content and give me a more detailed outline of what you do now. Thanks.

It has been several weeks since my last post in this topic. I assume you have found a suitable solution for your PDF application.

I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have problems or further questions regarding the solutions outlined above.
