    Hello,

So I am using the test-install portion of the server and today I did a webinar. We used Firefox. This is the main problem we ran into on both ends. MY guest speaker was at her house and I was at my office and we both were logged into Firefox.

When we both tried to upload our pdf’s it froze. It would state 100%processed but froze. No matter what we did, we could not upload the pdf’s. We shared the camera, did not share the camera, we shared the desktop, didn’t share the desktop, no matter what we did, we couldn’t upload the pdf’s as it froze. The only way to get unfrozen was to refresh the page.

Is this a problem that is common using test-install situation? What causes this?

    Thanks

The problem, as you pointed, was in test-install. That server is provided by Blindside Networks for free for people to try out. And as there is people using it from all around the world, the load can be very heavy in times.

My guesses are that it may have been one of those times or your PDF was massive or the pdf had some encoded characters that the BBB server could not process.

My recommendation, for trying it out is to use it with an smaller or simpler PDF. For production, well it is always going to be better to have your own server.

Questions related to BBB are answered faster in any of the official bigbluebutton mailing lists. In google groups bigblubutton-users would be your best shot.
