PDF shows text as squares

    Hello,

    We run a webshop in Dutch and Persian language. Whenever a client orders in the persian language it sends the PDF attachment but the product names are shown as squares on the file. Whilest this is only in the persian I assume it’s because of the language. Is it possible to fix this, and take the product string as is, or show the dutch varriant on all orders, no matter what language they are ordered in?

    Hi @oventawebdesign,

    We already support Persian (Farsi), just not by default. You will need a separate extension that will give you the ability to create a right-to-left layout and supports an Arabic font, which you can download here: woocommerce-pdf-ips-mpdf.2.4.2.zip

    You just need to install it as a regular plugin and activate it. Finally, if you need to activate the RTL layout, select the Simple RTL template in WooCommerce > PDF Invoices > General > Choose a template.
