PDF Replacing not working (Salient Theme)

    Hi,

    is there a known issue with replacing PDF files when using the Salient theme? (Theme Version 14.0.5)

    Our problem: when we choose “replace the file, use a new file name and update all links” the part “update all links” is not happening when swapping a PDF file, which results in a lot of manual work on the site.

    I am guessing that the update-all-links feature is incompatible with the Salient Theme (Nectar Editor)?

    Possible cache issues (on site and on server) can be ruled out – we checked that.

    Any helpful tip is appreciated. ??

    Hello @seriou5,

    We are not aware of such issues, but we also haven’t done tests with this theme. I would imagine that the replacement might not work due to the way the links to the files are stored by the Nectar Editor in the DB, because the link replacements are done by running some DB queries.

    We would need to see how the links to the PDF files are stored in the DB in order to tweak our replacement queries to do the replacement, is there any way you can provide some information about this?

    Hi Pedro,

    thank you – after contacting Salient Theme Authors and playing around with the Health Troubleshoot Plugin we found out that the Object Cache in was the problem.

    Everything good now – thank you.
