PDF indexer

  • Hello,

    I’ve been asked to build a site with wordpress which does the following:

    PDF download centre with shopping cart and payment gateway
    Search for content within the PDF’s (So i need to index the pdf content to the database)
    Provide users with a unique download link or something similar
    Comments systems.

    Is this possible with WordPress, i’ve looked around and have not been able to find any plugins that can perform the pdf indexing task.

    Does anyone have any suggests?

    I was originally going to build the site using Joomla as i found all the required extensions to perform the various functions. Now my boss has asked me to use WordPress due to security concerns with Joomla, anyone got any thoughts on this.
