pdf in Post one click only required

  • Using 3.0.2 WP
    Is there an update on one click only to view a pdf doc in a Post when on a static home page.
    I upload my pdf via Add Media button and have tried saving as File url and also Post url but after publishing and selecting the link I am always directed to a Post page where I need to select the document again.
