Try uploading the original, correctly colored PDF file via FTP to the upload location at uploads/2022/12/, replacing the errantly colored file. If subsequent downloads or file views are still mis-colored, it’s some kind of server issue since WP is not involved in direct file requests.

If subsequent downloads or views are correctly colored, then there is something amiss with the WP upload process. I don’t know how it would happen, but now at least you now have a way of working around the problem until it’s resolved.

To further isolate the issue if it’s within WP, deactivate all plugins and switch to a default twenty* theme. Try another PDF upload. If colors are now correct, restore theme and plugins one at a time until the problem recurs. Take up the issue with the last activated module.

If the problem occurs with no plugins and a default theme, file a Trac ticket explaining the issue. It might help if you can provide an original PDF file that gets corrupted after upload through WP.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply!

We have tried different approaches to the problem

We uploaded the file through WordPress and it looks purple:

    https://www.lanopro.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/linnsinfil.pdf

Then we uploaded the file through FTP and it looks correct:

    https://www.lanopro.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/linnsinfil2.pdf

(they are exact copies of each other).

How do we bypass this problem?

We want to be able to upload PDF files straight through WordPress and still want them to look correct.

Anyone have any idea what this could be?

We have tried to disable Plugins, and also tried the default theme, but the issues reimains the same.

    Thanks,

    JD
