PDF file into a Widget

In the past I have used and FTP to upload a file to public_html/media. The old file is still on my website, even thought the FTP has the new version of the file.
I have successfully uploaded the new version of the pdf to the media library (since the ftp clearly was not working). So the file is in the media library. I cannot find a way to attached it to a page or post (the select screen is blank).

This is the piece of code that has pointed to the file in the past.
Inside the carats a href=media/lodge-schedules.pdf

Any assistance will be much appreciated.
