Been working on this most of the day and cannot seem to figure this out.
    We have an SSL.
Everything is working fine as far as all the pages and stuff.
    All are https.

I am trying to set up a link to a PDF file that I uploaded to WP.
Set it up so that you can click on the words and it will bring up the PDF file in a new window.

The main page is the Members page. It is secure and no issues with security. Scroll down and find the Link to the “WRCB 2022 Revised Schedule Version 1/7/2022”
When you hit this, It pulls up the PDF File that I uploaded to the media section in a new tab.

When you look at the lock in the address bar (I use firefox) It is giving me the Lock with the triangle designation with it.

Click on that and I get the Connection not secure.

I have others check it with Chrome and it wont even open the file for them.

What do I have to do to fix this issue with this document so it is secure. I am going to have many more similar documents on this site and need to know what to do to keep this from happening to them too.

    Thanks

    Bob

  • For some reason you’re linking to it using an IP address:

    https://3.138.229.4/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/WRCB-2022-REVISED-Schedule-Version-01-07-21.pdf

You need to use the domain name. Your SSL certificate is for wrcband97.org. You don’t have one for 3.138.229.4 so an HTTPS connection to it is not secure.

    That was it.

Did not dawn on me to check that.

Made the change and now everyting is right in the world (or this miniscule part)

    Thanks
