    Hello,

Is there a way to change the background colour of PDF embeds in Classic?
Currently I get a black background.

    Thanks.

    Hello @dsl225,

    Greetings.

Unfortunately, we don’t have the feature right now to change the color or theme in the Classic editor. However, Thank you so much for your idea. FYI, Our DEV team is already working on it. Hope you will get the same feature as the Elementor & Gutenberg changing the theme mode: System, Dark, Light on the next release version.

Thank you. Have a great day.

    Hello @dsl225,

Greetings. Really sorry for the delay in reaching you again.

Yes, you can now change the theme mode of your PDF from the Classic Editor using this parameter: theme_mode = 'default/dark/light' in your shortcode.

Hope it helps. Let me know how it goes.

    Thank you!

    Thanks, good to know.
The problem is when you have 100 embeds and you need to change the background… That’s why this should be in the plugin’s settings.

Anyhow, the problem is not changing pre-designed theme, but really changing ANY color for the background. Don’t you have a CSS snippet for doing so?

    Hi again @dsl225,

Actually, currently, we have brought out this theme mode changing feature. However, thanks for your suggestion also. I have forwarded this to our DEV team also.

Hope we will get this type of feature where you can change the color globally from the EmbedPress settings in future. And then I will let you know the update as well.

    Thank you!

    Thanks!
And what about my second question?
    – don’t you have a CSS snippet for changing the background to ANY color, not only the themes?

    Hello @dsl225 ,

Greetings. Sorry for the late reply.

Well, the CSS snippet won’t work here. If you want to change it, then you would need to change it from the plugin. In that case, it would create an issue while updating the plugin or it will be removed after the update. That won’t be a good practice either. We are thinking about adding some background colors to it and our dev team will work on this soon.

    Hope you understand. Thank you.

Thanks for your feedback but that sounds strange though.
Would that mean that the viewer is connecting to external servers?

    Hello again,

Actually, EmbedPress fetches the contents using iframe and if you add a CSS snippet inside your customizer, it won’t work on the iframe. If you want to add CSS then you have to add it from the plugin.

    Hope you understand.
    Thank you.

OK, thanks but I don’t well understand the reason it is designed that way.
I’ll try to find another PDF viewer then.
