• I realize that this is not WordPress related, but this is the Misc. forum. Anyway, I figured the WP forum denizens would be the ones most likely to know this:
I’m looking for an open source web document management system. I want to have a place to easily publish my papers in a non-modifiable format such as PDF. I’ll just do it manually if such a thing doesn’t exist, but it’d be nice if there was something that had a UI and converted it automatically. Anyone know of anything?

There may be other stuff here:

Thanks — cool program. It will have to do, I guess, because I can’t program. ?? That was first on my list, needed something to make PDFs with besides my 30 day trial of Acrobat Pro.
Unless anyone else knows of anything?
Ideally, I’d like to have a web interface where I can log in and post documents with, say, an abstract. Categorizing would be even better. I don’t know if such tools exist, though.

If I’m understanding your request correctly, then I think these two sites might have what you are looking for:
    PABD.com
    Lulu
I’m pretty sure both allow you to upload your documents from various formats and convert them to PDF’s, even turn them into real books if you’ve got some cashola ?? Hope that helps!
