PDB Signup Response Email incorrect first name

  • Hi all,

    We are getting reports from new members that the response email returns an incorrect first name

    So for example, my name is larry and it comes back as Dear Peter.

    Has anyone else had this issue?

    This is no doubt due to page caching on the “thanks” page or the signup page if you don’t use a separate “thanks” page. Configure your cache plugin (or server-based caching) to exempt pages with Participants Database shortcodes from caching.

    You may also be able to avoid the problem by enabling the “Use Cache-Busting Query Variables” setting in the plugin settings under the Advanced tab.

    Thank you I’ll try that. We did recently add light-speed to our site and it would seem correct that our issue started not long after we did.
