    Hello everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue with my webshop’s PayPal button not appearing on the desktop version of my website. Strangely, the button appears on the Android version of the website, but not on desktop browsers such as Chrome or Edge. What is even more strange, is when I am logged in as admin (editing the website) the PayPal button is there and in function.

The PayPal button appears to be enabled in my account settings. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue, and if so, how did you resolve it? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Zoltan

    Hello @dropzop76

Thank you for reaching out to us, we are here to help.

I reviewed your site and see the issue as well. However, when you refresh the page the buttons will load, so it looks like on first load, the JSON activity that replaces the WooCommerce button with the PayPal button, is not allowed to run. However, when you refresh the page, the button(s) appear.

This makes me think that there is another plugin that might be blocking the JavaScript on the first load. You may want to perform a full conflict test to rule out eventual issues with the theme or a different plugin. We recommend temporarily activating the default theme Storefront and disabling all other plugins except for?WooCommerce and?PayPal Payments to see if the behavior persists. Here’s a guide that explains the steps in more detail: How to test for conflicts

Please let us know how this works out for you and if this allows you to identify the cause of the issue.

    Kind regards,
    Joost

    Hi Joost,

thank you for checking it. It seems that CookieYes | GDPR Cookie Consent was causing this, similarly as described here. If I accept the cookies or the plugin is disabled, everything is fine.

I am not sure if is this an intended behavior or if it can be changed in settings eventually. Any idea?

    thank you very much!

    Hello @dropzop76

The functions of the CookieYes plugin is not allowing our plugin to use JSON to replace the buttons on the page, there is not much our plugin can do. Without this function / button, our plugin cannot function. There are currently no plans to adjust our plugin for this situation.

This is not intended behavior, but I think the adjustment for this situation need to be made by the CookieYes plugin developers.

    Kind regards,
    Joost
