paypal updated api

    I am receiving an error on checkout that i believe is related to issues with the updated paypal api credentials.

    It seems paypal has updated their api requirements and developer dashboard gui. The current dashboard looks very different than what is shown in the screenshots. App ID is only available through the NVP/SOAP API. Should i be using the REST api?

    Where can i locate the proper credentials? does appID now equal ClientID?
